
Kenneth R. Bailey
Since 2013, Ken Bailey has been working to transition the firm towards a first-rate local law firm whereat local lawyers represent Ohioans in the primary areas of law that affect individuals, families, and small businesses.

He is a trial lawyer with a long history of success in criminal jury trials, family law trials, and negotiation of business contracts.
​
Prior to becoming an attorney he worked as an IT consultant for Merck and Johnson & Johnson, as well as spending time assisting in the building of renewable energy power systems.
My Story
Ken Bailey originally joined the firm as a second-generation attorney to assist in the expediting and expanding of client services. Mr. Bailey most regularly works as an accident attorney, divorce attorney, and criminal defense lawyer.

Mr. Bailey is admitted to practice in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, as well as the Southern District of Ohio. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, as well, permitting him to practice in Mayor's Courts, Municipal Courts, and State Courts of Common Pleas.

Experience.
​​
Mr. Bailey has been practicing since 2013 at the various iterations of this law firm, which began in 1983 as the K. Ronald Bailey & Associates, Co. L.P.A. and transitioned around 2015 to the Bailey Legal Group, and in 2024 transition into the Ohio Legal Group as the firm continued to expand its market-share and geographic reach adding offices in Cleveland and Columbus.

Mr. Bailey is a frequent speaker and teacher on legal topics drawing from a lifetime of experience being reared in the law and placed to work at a young age.
​
From 2017-2018, Mr. Bailey served as President of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. From 2015 to approximately 2018, Mr. Bailey also served as the organization’s Technology Chair.
Prior to arriving at the firm, Mr. Bailey spent two and a half years working full-time for BackOffice Associates (nka Syniti) as a Data Migration Consultant engaged in projects for Merck and Johnson & Johnson, both of which are Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to that, between 2002 and 2006, he worked full-time at this law firm as a legal assistant.
​
In 2002, Mr. Bailey campaigned for State Representative of the 58th Ohio House District, which then included all of Huron County, as well as parts of Lorain and Seneca counties.
​
Mr. Bailey enjoys various hobbies of physical combat, cardio and weight training, firearms, and auto-racing. He was previously a bull rider, and he enjoys spending time with his family and in his faith.

Education.
​​
Mr. Bailey graduated law school from the University of Akron, School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor, as well as a Certificate in Litigation, as a night student while working full-time during the day.
Mr. Bailey received training on the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) and Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE), as validated and codified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

In 2011, Mr. Bailey completed Divorce Mediation Training as well as General Mediation Training.

While at Akron Law School, Mr. Bailey earned the CALI Excellence for the Future award in Pre-Trial Advocacy, as well as, membership in the Golden Key National Honor Society.

In 2007, he obtained his Bachelor’s of Science and Associates of Science in Liberal Studies from Bowling Green State University, while working full-time for an Ohio company building renewable energy power stations.
